1. How are you able to produce websites so inexpensively?
These websites are produced through our library of stock design. Doug Williams and Associates has created an excellent reputation for producing high quality custom websites in the United States. Our websites are search engine friendly and will rank very well when optimized. Our company and staff stands behind all work that is done.2. How are these websites different than website builders or templates?
Templates and website builder pages can be riddled with errors and they are difficult for the search engines to index. Website builder pages can be barried so deep with in the hosting website the search engines will never find it. Any design selected out of our stock are validated to W3C compliance and is built to be search engine friendly. Our set-up guide will coach you through a series marketing and corporate identity questions to ensure that your website is designed for your company goals.
3. Will the domain name be registered to me?
Yes, domain name will be either registered in your name or your company’s according to your instructions.4. How long will it take to have my website up and going
? The typical website will be complete in 2-4 weeks from the time you get us the complete text and website content. Websites with programming or custom features will take slightly longer depending on the extent of such programming. Delays in design approval may also slow the delivery of the final website.5. Will I own the website once it is completed?
Yes, it is yours to modify, update, change and even move somewhere else if you choose.6. How can I maintain, update and make changes to the website?
You can make changes with any standard web building software such as Microsoft Frontpage or Macromedia Dreamweaver or Macromedia Homesite. You can also have us make changes. This updating and making changes to your website is called webmaster services and we do charge for making updates to your website.7. Will you write the text for my website?
No one understands your business like you do. You are the best person to layout your vision and services for your website. We will provide you with tips and hints thru our online guide. We suggest typical navigation and what types of pages to include for your type of business. We suggest what subjects to include on each type of page. The price for the website does not include us writing the text. We take the text that you write and insert it into the webpage along with the photos and images that you provide at no extra charge.
8. How do I give you my text and pictures?
In the website set-up guide you will be able to type or paste in text for each page of your website. You also have the option of uploading images or Word documents.9. What do I do if I don't have a logo yet?
You may use your company name instead of a Logo, or you may request a quote from us to create your logo.10. Can I pay by check?
Yes, however work will not begin until the check has been received and payment approved by the bank. Payments made by VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER CARD or AMERICAN EXPRESS will have work started on immediately.11. I already have a domain. Can I still purchase a turnkey website?
If you already have a domain, you may use that, or you may have us purchase a new domain for your website. You can have more then one domain name point to (forward) to your website.12. Will you do an adult oriented website?
No we don't do sites with pornography, nudity or other adult oriented sites. We also won't consider sites that are involved in any type of illegal activity.13. In what format do I need to give my pictures, documents, and information to Doug Williams and Associates?
Pictures: The format should be JPEG, with a recommended file size of less than 70Kb. Photo scanning and processing is available at an additional charge. Content: Please save the information we are going to put on your website in a text document (Word Document, .rtf, .txt or similar). This will greatly assist us in entering your information into your site.14. Do you offer technical support?
Yes, we offer 24/7 technical support via e-mail. We guarantee a 24 hour response time for all technical support related inquiries. We also offer webmaster support which includes changes and modifications to your website content or website structure. Once your website is complete, we charge for these services. You may purchase an annual agreement for webmaster services at a discounted rate.15. What happens first after I pay for a website?
We go immediately and check for domain name availability. If the requested or obvious name is not available we do a few searches and call or E-mail you with your options. Then we buy the domain name for you and set-up your hosting account. Then we immediately send you a welcome letter which includes account information such as start date, account number, username and password to get into your website control panel and the new mailbox names and passwords. Meanwhile, immediately after purchase you will be given access to the online set-up guide where you can choose pages to be included, describe the “look” that you are after and begin submitting text and images that you want included. You can complete this at your own pace. Design will begin as soon as the text is supplied.16. I already have a hosting account. Will you create a website for me?
Hosting with us is optional and not required. We will only need FTP access to upload your new site to you once it is complete.
